# The 14-day loop

A member joins through a creator link, checks in each day, and saves or shares a card that shows their current consistency streak. A public card links back to the same creator. Each round lasts 14 Eastern calendar days; it is not a 75-day challenge or a subscription.

## One day

1. Open the personal link and see today's strength or recovery schedule.
2. Enter protein grams, confirm sleep, and complete movement through 8,000 steps or 30 minutes of moderate cardio. Record an optional strength session toward the weekly goal.
3. Save before midnight Eastern. The server determines whether the day counts.
4. See the updated streak and card. Save the image or use Instagram/X sharing, with the creator's public join link.
5. Return through the same personal link tomorrow. A configured evening reminder is sent only if the day is still incomplete and the channel is enabled.

The default reminder is 10pm Eastern. Midnight is the deadline, not the reminder time. Daily guidance uses fixed templates; a displayed morning line does not send an additional message. An optional reflection is the member's own private note, saved separately and never printed on a card or included in a report. Schedule changes start the next Eastern day. The [check-in specification](check-in-spec.md) defines completion and edit behavior.

## Progress and next rounds

| Current streak | Card | Round effect |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 0 | Begin again | Start today's requirements. |
| 1–2 | Ember | Keep going. |
| 3–6 | Spark | Keep going. |
| 7–13 | Steady | At 7, automatically reserve one free 14-day round after the current round. |
| 14+ | Locked | The card remains Locked while the streak continues. |

Each round allows two grace days. Grace preserves the consistency count after a missed daily deadline, but remains distinct from actual completion. The levels use that consistency count. A further missed day resets the streak. Recovery days with protein, movement, and sleep completed are real completed days and do not consume grace.
Trailing grace preserves the last earned card until an actual completed check-in advances it. Used grace does not replenish after a reset. Existing rounds receive grace from October 12, 2026 onward; older results are not rewritten.

The free round is awarded once per normalized email across creator memberships; preview profiles are isolated samples. Eligibility is evaluated only when an actual completed day is saved. It is not a coupon, cash reward, or paid renewal. The free round keeps the continuity chain; each new round has its own grace allowance.

Paid mode costs $29 for the first round and $49 for later 14-day rounds. The free round comes first. Manual paid renewal opens on the last day of the current round, subject to any queued free or paid access. Payment before that round ends preserves continuity; payment after it ends starts a new chain. There is no automatic billing. Missed days do not create a refund or extension.

## Testing and posting playbook

**Now, in preview:** each person joins through their own creator URL, chooses their strength days, adds a portrait if wanted, and completes an actual day's entries on a phone. Check that the saved state survives reopening, the card is legible in Stories, and its public link points to the right creator. Try a recovery day and the cardio alternative as well. Preview saves progress but discards contact details and sends no messages or charges.

**After email is configured:** each person makes a fresh pilot join, receives their personal link, opens it on their phone, and tests link recovery. Test a real scheduled evening reminder and the reminder preference controls. Complete real calendar days rather than backfilling production records. Optional SMS follows the email test.

**Posting routine:** share the earned card with a short factual line about that day's effort and the creator join link. Keep the private check-in link out of posts, screenshots, and screen recordings. Story sharing may require choosing Instagram in the phone's share sheet; X may require pasting the card image. Screenshot the anonymous creator report to show progress without participant names. A personal 75-day content series can span several 14-day rounds without changing the product rules.

**After Stripe and delivery are verified:** invite a small paid cohort. The first evaluation is ten completed check-ins under paid access and one subsequent paid renewal. Record both unique paying members and completed paid-access days so "ten paid check-ins" cannot be confused with ten purchases. A queued or completed free round is not that paid renewal. This is a target, not a claim that the pilot already succeeded.

## What to measure

The creator report currently shows joins, members who reached at least a five-day streak, Locked milestones this Eastern week, image saves, creator-link copies, and Instagram/X button taps. Preview and live cohorts remain separate; prefilled demos are excluded. Button taps are not proof that a post was published.

For the pilot, compare joins with day-one completion, day-seven retention, and paid renewals using the underlying records. Treat suggested conversion ranges as hypotheses to test, not product promises. A saved image alone does not establish that sharing brought another join.

## Reusing the specifications

The public library has a check-in spec, this loop description, the join-to-card graph, a policy one-pager, regimen documentation, and six named function specifications. Follow saves a specification in the browser. Fork makes an editable JSON draft for download. The application repository is private; the library does not expose personal data, private operations, or application code.

No marketplace, tokens, social inbox bot, automatic payouts, or extra referral commission is implied by the member loop. Real payment, email, and SMS services must be configured and tested before inviting a live paid cohort.
